With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility

 Such a strong quote from Uncle Ben - The Spiderman. It's actually true. It does comes with a great sense of responsibility. This is not only limited to power, but also social ranks and nowadays the term most close to us would be influencer. Another side to this would be, the readiness of the person to take up the power or the given role.

I have known some, in working environment who would like to chase for higher positions. This is normal. We are of course human after all. But are they ready to make the move? Are they willing to make the sacrifices necessary that comes along with it? As the quote by Uncle Ben, are they really ready to take up the responsibility.

From my point of view, things like this we shouldn't rush. We let our work do the talking. If we are good enough, people will see. They will, trust me. When you rush into things and you are not ready, it is going to reflect badly on your reputation.

Imagine moving higher up and having such power and responsibility, but you are not able to be a good leader. Let alone making a wise decision. I have seen some falter. They are just not ready yet.

Take your time. Set your target and keep on learning. Keep in mind what you will be expecting when you move higher up. Try to learn as much as you can to prepare yourself. After all, as Uncle Ben once said - with great power comes great responsibility.
